My name is Thomasino. I am studying Pagan and alternative belief systems from around the world. My location is New Zealand where there is a reawakening of ancient belief systems taking place. My own background is based upon a Celtic, Wiccan and Gypsy grounding. I have been flying solo for many years with various coven contacts in England and now with our own coven here in New Zealand. One of the complications we have here is that ours is virtually a mirror image of the Wiccan calender as it is celebrated in the northern hemisphere. Our summer Solstice for example coincides with the midwinter celebration of the northern world.
My aim is to collate information and present it, freely, as a magazine on the internet. This page then is intended as a MagNet to attract and capture both interest and contributions from those interested in this endeavor. My immediate concern is to gather news of events, activities, gatherings, festivals, calendars and news of any sort taking place in New Zealand and of course Oz. A local calendar will then be formatted and made available to any interested student of these matters.
Wiccan and other alternative belief systems, of both European and other origin, are re-emerging from the suppression of the dark ages that the human race is now struggling to leave. As we move into a more enlightened era they provide real alternatives to the established religions that have exploited Humankind and allowed the near destruction of the planet Earth by politicians and big business interests. Wiccans, for instance, live with nature and nurture the natural resources gifted to us by the universe. They know the world can yet be saved for future generations. They expect to be at the forefront of that salvation.
Channelled Prayer
A story begins here, it is in essence a true story though some names have been changed to make them relevent to the people of this age. The places described do exist and may be found, with guidance, to this very day. The story is sympathetic with many legends that tell of deeds enacted thousands of years in our past. Indeed the story opens at a time when the world was young and fewer than a million souls, as we understand them, inhabited it. So the story is old yet young as it stretches far into the future and goes on - and on - and ever on.
