Richmond School Charter
In preparing this revision to the Charter the Board has consulted with the following groups:
- parents of present students;
- school staff;
- parents of pre-school children;
- parents of Maori students.
A meeting was held with parents of Maori children on 29 March where the Charter and the Curriculum Guidelines in draft were approved.
The School Community Council phoned a random sample of parents and invited them to read the draft Charter and comment on the response sheet provided.
Copies of the draft Charter were made available to offer parents on request by way of notice in the newsletter. Copies of the draft and the response forms were forwarded to pre-school organisations in our area.
A final meeting open to all parents was held on 20th October when final amendments were made in response to submissions.
